Correcting photodetector nonlinearity in dual-comb interferometry

نویسندگان

چکیده

Photodetector nonlinearity, the main limiting factor in terms of optical power detection chain, is corrected to improve signal-to-noise ratio a short-time measurement dual-comb spectroscopy. An iterative correction algorithm minimizing out-of-band spectral artifacts based on nonlinearity methods used classical Fourier-transform spectrometers presented. The exactitude validated using low linear measurement. Spectroscopic lines H 12 CN are provided and increase absorption depth 24% caused by saturation detector yielding residuals limited noise.

Electro-optic dual-comb interferometry over 40  nm bandwidth.

Dual-comb interferometry is a measurement technique that uses two laser frequency combs to retrieve complex spectra in a line-by-line basis. This technique can be implemented with electro-optic frequency combs, offering intrinsic mutual coherence, high acquisition speed and flexible repetition-rate operation. A challenge with the operation of this kind of frequency comb in dual-comb interferome...

Computational Modeling of Nonlinearity in a PIN Photodetector

In this work, we use a variant of the drift-diffusion equations to investigate nonlinearity of a cylindrical pi-n heterojunction photodetector made from InP and InGaAs [2]. Earlier work has shown that this model can accurately reproduce the principal features of experiments even with simple one-dimensional (1D) simulations if the effective radius of the current flow is properly chosen [2]. An a...

Fiber-coupled displacement interferometry without periodic nonlinearity.

Displacement interferometry is widely used for accurately characterizing nanometer and subnanometer displacements in many applications. In many modern systems, fiber delivery is desired to limit optical alignment and remove heat sources from the system, but fiber delivery can exacerbate common interferometric measurement problems, such as periodic nonlinearity, and account for fiber-induced dri...

Electro-optic dual-comb vibrometry

We use an ultrafast electro-optic dual comb interferometer to perform single-point vibrometry on the submillisecond time scale. As an example, we resolve the vibration of an ultrasound speaker driven at 50 kHz, achieving a sub-nanometer axial resolution through a measurement of the optical phase carrier. Dual-band Radar Interferometry

This paper demonstrates the feasibility of using differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) for subsidence monitoring over the underground mining sites in New South Wales, Australia. The SAR data acquired in dual-frequency, Cand L-band, of microwave portion of electromagnetic spectrum by ERS-1/2, Radarsat-1 and JERS-1 satellites have been examined. The issues of decorrelatio...
